Show Schedules - 2007
Lysistrata
By Aristophanes. This classical Greek comedy was first performed in 411 B.C., but is still relevant today. It takes a look at how women might band together to hasten the end of a war by denying ‘intimacy’ to their men-folk until the conflict is stopped. Hilarious and timely entertainment for adults.
March 7th and 8th at 7:30 pm and March 9th at 2:30 pm.
Girls to the Rescue!
Here we have two Cinderella stories, each with a twist. In The Fairy Godmother’s Assistant by Cynthia Mercati, the poor assistant is left to do the best she can while the magic one is on vacation. She finds her own common sense to be almost as good as magic, and she might be better at this than she thought. In Cinderella, Inc. by Thomas Hischak, Cinderella has started an employment agency after the big wedding. Her challenge is to find the perfect jobs for some difficult cases, and then there’s the dragon… A zany romp that’s fun for the entire family!
Friday April 18th at 7:00pm and April 19th at 11:30 am and 2:30pm

Wit, by Margaret Edson
This Pulitzer Prize winning author takes us on the incredible physical and emotional journey of Dr. Vivian Bearing, whose life as a scholar of the poetry of John Donne takes a drastic turn when she is diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This extraordinary play explores the life choices of a fiercely intellectual woman with insight, humor, and the honesty that comes with facing one’s own mortality.
October 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 7:30pm and October 12 at 2:30pm
Ms. Scrooge
Stage Left is bringing back a holiday favorite! We are delighted to return to Dickens’ classic story, but this time with a twist. In keeping with our celebration of women in theatre, we wondered, “what would happen if Scrooge was a woman?” Adapted by our very own Dorothy Cladas, this updated story of holiday redemption will once again bring the cheer of the season to viewers of all ages.
